Art Deco Door with Glass Panels
Product Information
With their sleek shapes, clean lines and geometric patterns, Art Deco doors are so attractive and versatile they fit perfectly in today’s modern homes.
I needed a door for the Art Deco room I’m modeling and was greatly inspired by, who would have thought, an Art Deco bathroom!
What a beautiful shower booth! Unfortunately, I couldn’t trace the designer, manufacturer or the type of materials used. But I fell in love the chrome-plated look and the simple pattern on the glass doors.
3D Visualization
Here is my 3D model of the empty room, with folding patio doors and windows inspired by the Art Deco bathroom pattern above.
Given that our room has white painted skirting and moldings, I wanted a white door, with a panel of glass and chrome. The door handle was modeled after one we have at home. I made the glass frosted to add a bit of privacy.
I’d describe it as a white glazed door with safety glass and chrome trimmings.

The square-edge stile of the lovely ReliaBilt 37.3-in Decorative Inswing Entry Door 325761 provides unsurpassed authenticity. It has an energy-saving insulated inner core. Pre-bored for lockset and deadbolt. There is also an outswing version. Available from Lowe’s.
This is the Calipso door by Midwest Manufacturing. It features triple pane glass with raised molding on one side. I love how the two different glass materials create a floral pattern on the glass.
The Verona White Primed Door by DirectDoors has a clean, contemporary look with its curvilinear lines.
Finally, here is the One-lite door in MDF with Capiz resin from Trustile. I like how the capiz pattern filters in the light, creating a bit of sparkle through the door.

I’ve never seen a bedroom door with glass. Maybe this would be better for a public room like a rec room or something?
Try googling “bedroom glass doors” and you will see hundreds of examples of bedrooms utilizing glass doors. Glass gives a feeling of openness, connectivity and spaciousness to a room, including bedrooms. Expansive glass doors and windows also maximize the view, if there’s a good one.
